Tulsa, OK (August 18, 2024) – A teenager was killed in a collision that occurred at the intersection of East 136th and North Sheridan Road in Tulsa County on Saturday evening, August 17.
According to authorities, the accident took place at approximately 11:40 p.m. Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reported that a 16-year-old male motorist was struck by another vehicle while traveling westbound on East 136th Street. The teen driver, whose identity is being withheld at this time, was declared deceased at the site.
A 37-year-old woman, the driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision, and a 43-year-old male passenger were both admitted to Saint Francis Hospital in critical condition due to internal injuries to the trunk and legs. Two children were also hospitalized: an 11-year-old male was admitted to the hospital due to limb injuries, and a 1-year-old was transported as a precaution. However, what caused the accident is still under inquiry, and no further details have been released at this time.
