CARLTON LANDING, Okla. – A quiet stretch of US-69 near Carlton Landing became the scene of a fatal accident, as a deadly motorcycle crash claimed the life of a Missouri man. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reported that 53-year-old Aaron Lloyd was traveling northbound on US-69, just three miles west of Carlton Landing in Pittsburg County, when his motorcycle experienced a sudden rear tire blowout.
According to OHP, the catastrophic tire failure caused Lloyd to lose control of his bike, tragically striking the end cap of a guardrail. Emergency responders from Pafford EMS arrived on the scene, but sadly, Mr. Lloyd was pronounced deceased.
