Tragic Florida Learjet Crash Claims Nine Lives, Including Oklahoma Native Rachael Reed

A heartbreaking aviation tragedy has claimed nine lives after a Bahamas-bound Learjet 60 crashed in a Palm Beach County, Florida, neighborhood on Sunday, November 1. Among the victims was Rachael Reed, an Oklahoma City area native, who died alongside her fiancé, Charmi Fehr.

The private aircraft was en route from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas when the flight crew encountered severe weather and ice accumulation. Cockpit recordings revealed the pilot declared a "Mayday" due to rapid descent and extreme turbulence before the jet crashed near Greenacres.

The families of the victims released a poignant joint statement honoring Adam Robinson, Helen Sharp, their young children Emma and Charlie, Rachael Reed, Charmi Fehr, and nanny Anita Maria Cetina. Remembering Rachael and Charmi, the family shared: "They loved their people fiercely, fully and without hesitation. From the moment they met, they were all in on each other and the life they were building."

Federal authorities, including the FAA and NTSB, are currently conducting a full investigation into the crash's mechanical, weather, and operational factors.
