Oklahoma Car Accidents

Rogers Co., OK - Two Drivers Killed in Head-On Crash on Hwy 412 near E AveEvery day in the U.S., more than 100 lives are lost in car crashes, adding up to around 40,000 deaths each year. These numbers are staggering, especially when you realize that most of these tragedies are caused by negligent driving. Over 90% of reported car accidents are linked to driver negligence.

With over 6 million vehicle collisions reported annually, this means that about 5 million accidents happen due to things like distractions, speeding, intoxication, and other reckless behavior. Distracted driving, often caused by people using their phones, is now the most common form of driver negligence. To put it in perspective, looking down at your phone while driving 55 mph is like driving the length of a football field with your eyes closed. This kind of distraction puts not only your life in danger but also the lives of everyone else on the road.

If you’ve recently lost a loved one because of a negligent driver, it’s important to speak with a wrongful death attorney in Oklahoma City as soon as possible. While money may be the last thing on your mind right now, you could be facing significant expenses related to the accident. A car crash attorney can help you secure the financial support needed to cover those costs. Beyond that, you might also be entitled to compensation for emotional pain, suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, and other damages depending on your situation.
