Oklahoma City, OK (July 15, 2024) – At approximately 12:05 p.m., on July 14, a car crash happened in Oklahoma City that took the life of a three-year-old girl. Reports from authorities show the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon on Interstate 35 when a man, identified as Rorhon Grandison, 28, fell asleep at the wheel. He was driving a pickup at the time that left the road and struck the center concrete barrier wall. The young girl was thrown from the vehicle into the southbound lanes of the interstate, where she was struck by another vehicle. She was transported to the hospital from the scene, where she later lost her life. Two other kids, ages 1 and 5, along with a 23-year-old woman, were also inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. They sustained no injuries, according to reports. The interstate stayed closed for just under two hours after the wreck.
