Oklahoma City, OK (July 29, 2024) – A major car crash was reported to police in Oklahoma City on the morning of July 29. At approximately 10:05 a.m., emergency crews were sent to the scene of an accident on Interstate 40. The wreck occurred near May Avenue when an unspecified number of vehicles collided. Those with injuries were rendered aid at the scene before being taken to the hospital. The right lane of traffic was blocked while crews worked at the crash site, forcing local motorists to use alternate routes. The extent of the injuries suffered in the wreck has not been reported at this time. Authorities in Oklahoma City are still working to determine how the accident occurred.
