Norman, OK (April 27, 2024) – A driver in Norman was arrested after police reported a deadly collision involving a bicyclist on Friday afternoon, April 26. The accident happened at around 3:30 p.m. on Robinson Street near 48th Avenue when a cyclist was hit by a car. When responders arrived, they found the bicyclist who was pronounced deceased on-site. Information about the victim’s identity has not been reported at this time. The driver fled the scene without rendering aid or waiting for police to arrive, however; the vehicle was found nearby by police and the suspect was taken into custody. The wreck remains under law enforcement investigation.
