Newcastle, OK (August 20, 2024) – A traffic accident resulted in injuries in Newcastle on the morning of August 20. Shortly before 10:00 a.m., the collision took place on Oklahoma Route 37 near Council Road. An unspecified number of vehicles collided in the area under circumstances that remain unknown at this time. Injured parties received emergency medical care on-site before being transported to the hospital for treatment. The identities of those hurt in the wreck have not been reported. Police blocked the roadway while emergency medical crews and other responders worked at the scene, forcing local motorists to use alternate routes.
