Mayes County, OK (April 11, 2024) – Police say a man lost his life in a multi-vehicle accident early Thursday, April 11. According to reports, the crash happened when a 2006 Toyota Matrix and a 2024 Toyota Camry collided just before 12:08 a.m. on State Highway 82. Several responders went to the crash site near Locust Grove in order to render aid and investigate. The man operating the Matrix was pronounced deceased on-site and two individuals in the Camry were sent to a hospital in Tahlequa. The driver who lost his life was identified as a man, age 43, from OKC. Police in Mayes County continue to investigate the details of the accident.
