Lane, OK (May 9, 2024) – A man lost his life in a crash that happened Sunday afternoon, May 6, in Lane. Information from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol shows the man was identified as 76-year-old Clifford Coats who was attempting to leave the Dollar General. He was trying to pull into the westbound lane of Oklahoma State Highway 3 when he was struck by a pickup truck headed east on the highway. The pickup truck driver was treated for injuries at Atoka County Medical Center.
