An 18-year-old from Norman, Oklahoma, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 40 in Oklahoma County early Sunday morning. The victim, identified as Martinez-Nieto, was riding in a group when he crashed around 1:40 a.m. near the I-35 north on-ramp. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Martinez-Nieto was traveling at a high rate of speed when his motorcycle began to wobble. Witnesses reported that he lost control, striking both the inside and outside barriers of the interstate. The impact ejected him over the interstate wall and onto a riverbank, where he was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle came to a rest on the outside shoulder, and no other injuries were reported in the incident, which remains under investigation.
