In Muskogee County, a devastating head-on collision between a Jeep and a semi-truck has resulted in the deaths of two individuals: 32-year-old Drake Long and an unidentified juvenile passenger, both from Checotah. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred on Sunday at approximately 4:04 p.m. on US-62. According to the investigation, Long’s southbound Jeep veered left of center and collided with a northbound semi-truck. While the semi-truck driver was unharmed, a second passenger in the Jeep sustained injuries. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and the incident remains under investigation by the OHP.
