Fairview, OK (April 1, 2024) – A teenager lost their life and three others were hurt in a traffic accident that happened just outside of Fairview early on Sunday morning, March 31. Shortly after 12:00 a.m., four teens were traveling south on North 256 Road, a dirt road, when the driver was unable to properly negotiate a turn due to high speeds, according to information provided by the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety. The vehicle left the roadway and overturned. A 16-year-old Fairview girl, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was partially ejected during the crash. She was taken to a local Fairview hospital by ambulance where she was later pronounced deceased. Authorities in Fairview continue to investigate the details of the accident.
