Enid, OK (August 10, 2024) – A man from Enid lost his life on Friday, August 9, in a two-vehicle collision on US 412. He was identified as James M. Beckman, 74. He was pronounced deceased at the crash scene, according to information provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The crash occurred at 12:47 p.m. on US 412 and South 114th Street, approximately 2 miles east of Enid. Reports show that Beckham was riding a 2015 Honda VT750 motorcycle headed north when he was struck by a 2018 Chrysler 300 operated by Tom J. Gardner, 82, of Enid. Garner and his 66-year-old female passenger, Brenda F. Whitfield-Garner, were both transported to Miller EMS to Integris Health Enid Hospital, where they were treated and released. Police in Enid continue to investigate the details of the crash.
