Truck Accidents in Oklahoma
Throughout the nation, there are about 500,000 commercial vehicle accidents annually. In fact, over the last year alone, 523,796 heavy truck-related crashes were recorded, a 20% rise over the prior year. Large truck collisions often result in serious injuries or deaths. Because semi trucks are often 20 to 30 times heavier and bigger than passenger cars, they present a significant risk when they collide.
Unfortunately, careless truck drivers are largely to blame for a significant portion of truck accidents that occur in the United States. Semi-truck drivers often do careless acts like driving while tired, distracted, or even drunk because they have to work long, hard hours to fulfill deadlines imposed by their employers.
