Creek County, OK (April 6, 2024) – A young man from Missouri identified as Trenten Campbell, 22, lost his life in a collision that occurred in Creek County on Thursday, April 4. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that Campbell, of Excelsior Springs, was declared deceased at the crash scene by Creek County EMS at around 3:20 p.m. The wreck took place in the eastbound lanes of the turnpike, about six miles east of Bristow. Campbell was traveling east when he was involved in a collision with a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the road. His vehicle then bounced off of that vehicle and went into the outside lane where it was hit by another vehicle. Campbell was pinned inside the vehicle for approximately 90 minutes before being freed by the Kellyville Fire Department. The driver of the vehicle parked on the shoulder sustained no injuries. The third vehicle’s driver was sent to a hospital in Tulsa to be treated for injuries. The eastbound Turner Turnpike was closed for approximately two hours due to the incident.

We want to offer our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased victim. Police continue to investigate.
