Carter County Highway Crash Leaves Passenger Injured
A Friday evening commute turned dangerous on May 15, after a two-vehicle collision on SH 76 in Carter County left one person injured. According to Oklahoma State Troopers, the accident occurred near the junction with SH 53 when a vehicle pulled out to merge onto the highway, directly entering the path of an oncoming vehicle traveling from Wynnewood.
The vehicles collided on the roadway, causing significant impact. While both drivers miraculously escaped the crash without injuries, a front-seat passenger in the Wynnewood man’s vehicle was not as fortunate. Emergency response units arrived quickly at the scene to provide medical aid and transported the injured passenger to an emergency room in Healdton for treatment. While authorities have not yet released the exact details regarding the severity of the passenger's injuries, the incident remains under active review by state troopers.
